James City County closes EOC, offices open Tuesday
Latest weather forecast predictions show a decrease in winds and rain throughout the evening in James City County.
Currently, most flood waters have receded and there are no reports of power outages. Subsequently, the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will close at 6 p.m. tonight. Residents with emergencies should dial 911.
In response to the WJCC schools 2-hour delayed opening, the REC Connect Before School Program is closed on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The After School Program will follow the same schedule as the schools and if the school closes early, the program is cancelled. The REC Connect Hotline is 757-259-3170.
County offices plus all Parks and Recreation parks and facilities are scheduled to be open on Tuesday, Oct. 30. However, trail conditions within the parks may vary. For the latest information, call the Parks Hotline at 757-259-5360 or call the Park directly. VDOT has announced that the Jamestown Ferry will be closed through the evening rush hour.
