JCSA sewer rate change

All James City Service Authority (JCSA) billing statements mailed on or after July 1, 2012 will reflect sewer rate changes adopted by the Board of Directors on May 22, 2012. All sewer rates are a flat fee based on usage. The sewer rate for both residential and non-residential customers will increase from $2.80 to $3.22 per 1,000 gallons.

Current Rate Effective July 1, 2012
$2.80 per 1,000 gallons
$3.22 per 1,000 gallons
($2.09 per 100 cubic feet)
($2.41 per 100 cubic feet)

The last sewer rate increase was in July 2006. The rate increase is necessary to provide required revenues to finance necessary sewer system improvements throughout the JCSA service area in accordance with a Special Order by Consent with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. For more information, visit jamescitycountyva.gov/jcsa or call 757-253-6800.
