James City County man struck by train


At 7:30 a.m. on July 11, a 22-year-old James City County man was struck by a CSX train along the 6100 block of Richmond Rd. in James City County. The train was traveling east when it struck the man’s body that was lying on the railroad tracks. Alcohol is thought to be a factor and it is believed that the man was unconscious at the time he was struck. He was transported to MCV in Richmond by helicopter with a severe leg injury. The investigation is pending
