PUBLIC HEARINGS PLANNED FOR I-64 PENINSULA STUDY

Public invited to review results from environmental study

 

RICHMOND– The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold multiple public hearings in December regarding proposed improvements to the Interstate 64 corridor from Interstate 95 in Richmond to Interstate 664 in Hampton. The purpose of the meeting is to present results from the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) study. The study corridor extends from the Peninsula to Richmond and is approximately 75 miles long.

 

Citizens will have an opportunity to review the DEIS results, discuss the results with VDOT representatives and provide input at the meeting. Local media are invited to attend.

 

WHEN/WHERE:

 

Dec. 11: 5−8 p.m., Bruton High School, 185 East Rochambeau Drive, Williamsburg
Dec. 12: 5−8 p.m., City Center, Fountain Plaza II, 700 Town Center Drive,  Newport News
Dec. 13: 5−8 p.m., VDOT Central Office Auditorium, 1221 East Broad Street, Richmond

 

Citizens can provide written or oral comments at the meeting or submit them no later than Jan. 7, 2013, to the I-64 Peninsula Study Team at
I- 64PeninsulaStudy@mccormicktaylor.com and reference ‘I-64 Location Public Hearing Comments’ in the subject line.
