Tails on the Trail
Saturday, June 2, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.)
Freedom Park
$20 per passport
Celebrate National Trails Day with your furry friend! Purchase your Passport to the Parks and receive your first stamp by walking the trail at Freedom Park on June 2 - enjoy water stations, local pet-friendly vendors and treat bags for the dogs. Throughout the summer, complete each self-guided trail walk to receive additional passport stamps. Complete your passport and receive free admission to the Drool in the Pool event in September. Offered in partnership with the Humane Society; all proceeds benefit the Society. REC Connect Summer Camp
Register now for summer camp, open to ages 5-14 (must have completed kindergarten). Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 18 – Aug. 24, 7 a.m.-6 p.m., at five elementary schools and one middle school. Fee information and registration forms are available at jamescitycountyva.gov/recreation and at the James City County Recreation Center, the James River Community Center, Freedom Park and Satellite Services in Toano.  Registrations accepted on a space available basis.Info Line: 757-259-3170. Days of Discovery Camp (ages 5-21 with disabilities)
Register by June 1 to guarantee placement in this exciting summer camp experience that provides fun and structured activities for participants with disabilities. Camp runs Monday-Thursday, June 26 –Aug. 8 (programs begins on a Tuesday; concludes on a Wednesday), noon-4:30 p.m. (after summer school dismissal) at Norge Elementary School. Sign up for single or multiple weeks. $45-$65/weekly. Parents are responsible for daily pickup of their child. 4-H Wildlife Explorers (ages 9-13)

Team BOOK Creative Writing Camp (ages 10-12), New

Bicycle Camp (ages 11-14)
Monday-Thursday, June 25-28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Cake Decorating Camp (ages 13-17), New

Learn To Swim Programs
Open registration held June 6-15. After you have successfully passed a class, you can register for the next level during this two-week open registration period. If you’re unsure of your or your child’s swimming needs or level, attend the FREE swim evaluations on Tuesday, June 12 or Wednesday, June 13, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the James City County Recreation Center.
