James City County Recreation Center closed Nov. 6

 

The James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Rd., will be closed Election Day, Nov. 6.  As a voting site, it’s anticipated that this location will draw an unusually high turnout and parking will be exceptionally limited. The REC Connect Middle School program scheduled at the Center has been moved to Berkeley Middle School.

 

All weekly late fees for the REC Connect program will be waived through, Nov. 8. REC Connect patrons who prefer to register in-person on Tuesday can do so at any other payment location during regular operating hours – Freedom Park, 5537 Centerville Rd.,, Satellite Services, 3127 Forge Rd., James River Community Center, 8901 Pocahontas Trl./Grove as well as the Parks and Recreation Administration Offices, 5300 Palmer Ln., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Program clients can also make payments online or by phone 757-887-5810 from 4-8 p.m. For more information, call 757-259-5351, email Alisha.Berkley@jamescitycountyva.gov or visit www.jamescitycountyva.gov/recreation.
