Public Hearing Notice:
The Planning Commission of James City County, Virginia, will conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the County Government Center Board Room, 101-F Mounts Bay Rd., James City County, Virginia to consider the following:
Case No. SUP-0002-2012/Z-0002-2012, Colonial Manor Proffer Amendment:
A request for an amendment to an existing Special Use Permit and to amend existing proffers to allow the conversion of the existing rest home to an assisted living and independent living facility on a parcel zoned R-5, Multi-family Residential with proffers, located at 8679 Pocahontas Trail, further identified as James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. 5230100089, and designated as Low Density Residential by the Comp Plan. Principal suggested uses include single-family homes, cluster housing, duplexes, schools, very limited commercial, and retirement and care facilities.
Case No. SUP-0001-2012/Z-0001-2012, Williamsburg Seventh Day Adventist Church Expansion:
A request to amend proffers to allow for maintenance of a scenic easement and a request for a Special Use Permit to allow a 5,500-sq. ft. building expansion on a parcel zoned R-1, Limited Residential, with proffers, located at 3989 John Tyler Highway, further identified as James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. 4610100002B, and designated as Low Density Residential by the Comprehensive Plan. Principal suggested uses include schools, churches, very limited commercial and community-oriented facilities.
Case No. ZO-0001-2012, Zoning Ordinance Amendment:
An Ordinance to amend Chapter 24, Zoning, Section 24 -2, Definitions to add “resort hotel;" to add Section 24-45, Performance standards for a resort hotel; and to amend Section 24-287, Permitted uses to add a resort hotel as a permitted use.
