Body of missing 18-year-old James City County swimmer located

 

On May 29 at 10:20 a.m, The body of Trevor Times, 18 was found in the College Creek about 35 feet off shore, in about six feet deep water. Times went missing yesterday afternoon while swimming with friends in the creek located off the Colonial Parkway in James City County. He was trying to swim to a sand bar 75 yards off shore when witnesses reported seeing him in trouble and go under water. Times was a Senior at Jamestown High School. This area is a popular swimming spot but is posted with signs warning of the danger of a strong rip tide, deep water, and that it is unsafe for swimming or wading.

 

James City County Police and Fire Marine Units and Dive Teams along with the Virginia Marine Resource Commission equipped with side scan sonar were able to locate the body this morning after the recovery operation that was suspended last night resumed.
