James City County’s Voter Registrar urges voters to be ready for Election Day

Polls are open Nov. 6, 2012 from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Do you know what’s on the ballot? In addition to voting for the next President of the United States, James City County voters will cast ballots for the US Senate, House of Representatives and two Proposed Virginia Constitutional Amendments. In addition, Jamestown District voters will elect a new Board of Supervisors member and a new School Board member.

Visit the James City County Voter Registrar’s Office website and see sample ballots, find your polling place, make sure you have a valid form of identification and get ready to exercise your right to vote.

On Election Day, be sure to follow the County on Facebook ( and Twitter ( throughout the day for news from the polls and get local election results after the votes are counted. Not on social media? Tune in to JCC TV on Cox Cable Channel 48 and on the County's website for the results.
