JCC citizen input needed on residential chicken keeping


James City County’s Planning Division is seeking citizen input on how the Zoning Ordinance should be amended to allow for the keeping of chickens on residentially zoned property in the County.


There are several opportunities for citizens to participate:

  • Fill out a brief online questionnaire at by Jan. 13, 2014.
  • Send written comments to the James City County Planning Division, 101-A Mounts Bay Rd., Williamsburg, VA. 23185.
  • Attend the James City County Policy Committee on Jan. 16, 2014 at 3 p.m. in Building D of the James City County Government Center, 101 Mounts Bay Rd.
