Applications available for JCCPRIDE Grant Program
James City County neighborhoods, homeowners associations, businesses, clubs and stormwater management facility owners have until Sept. 13, 2013 to apply for the County’s Protecting Resources in Delicate Environments (JCCPRIDE) Grant Program.
The program, sponsored by the Stormwater Program Advisory Committee, provides financial support to volunteer water quality restoration and protection projects. The program has three categories for applicants to consider:
- Stormwater Management Improvements Grants are designed to encourage qualified organizations to enhance structural components of existing BMPs or to add new BMPs that will help improve our water quality.
- Maintenance Assistance Grants are designed to encourage qualified organizations to maintain stormwater facilities in order to prevent infrastructure failure, while helping maintain or restore our water quality.
- Drainage Improvement Assistance Grants are designed to encourage qualified organizations to seek solutions to drainage problems with County assistance.
The grant awards range from $1,000 to $2,000 per project.
