JCC Woman found murdered in home
At 6:39 p.m., on Saturday, July 27, James City County Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Teal Way in the Season’s Trace subdivision in James City County in reference to the discovery of a dead female inside of a residence. The discovery was made by the next door neighbor who had gone to check on the victim at the request of an out-of-state relative who had not heard from the victim. Police found evidence of an apparent struggle and are investigating the death of the 42-year old woman as a homicide. The body of the victim was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond to confirm the identification of the deceased and determine the cause of death. The deceased is believed to be the homeowner who lived in the residence with her husband. No further details are being released at this time due to the on-going investigation.
