James City County employees Becky Duncan, Alister Perkinson and Justin Taylor were honored with a Lifesaving Recognition by the Board of Supervisors at the Board’s Dec. 10 meeting. On Nov. 18, James City County Recreation Center staff found a patron who had collapsed and was unresponsive without a pulse and was not breathing. Duncan, Perkinson and Taylor acted quickly and competently to assess and offer lifesaving care. They performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in conjunction with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). As a result of their quick efforts and prompt EMS care, the individual survived lethal heart arrhythmias.
