NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Board of Supervisors of James City County, Virginia, will conduct public hearings on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. in the County Government Center Board Room, 101-F Mounts Bay Road, James City County, Virginia, to consider the following:
Case Nos. Z-0004-2013/SUP-0013-2013. Fire Station # 1. A request to rezone 1.06± acres from A-1, General Agricultural to PL, Public Lands with proffers and 0.29± acres from B-1, General Business to PL, Public Lands with proffers, and a request for a special use permit to allow construction of a new fire station to replace the existing fire station. The properties are located at 3135 Forge Road, 7849 and 7869 Church Lane, further identified as JCC Real Estate Tax Map Nos. 1230100027, 1230100048, and 1230100031 and designated as Federal, State, and County Land on the Comprehensive Plan. Recommended uses include sites that house County offices and public facilities.
Case No. SUP-0009-2013. Tidewater Equine. A request to allow a veterinary office on a parcel located at 276 Peach Street, zoned A-1, General Agricultural, further identified as JCC Real Estate Tax Map No. 2410100013 and designated as Economic Opportunity on the Comprehensive Plan.
Case No. SUP-0011-2013, Veritas Preparatory School. A request to allow a school on a parcel located at 275 McLaws Circle, zoned M-1, Limited Business/Industrial, further identified as JCC Real Estate Tax Map No. 5020100083 and designated as Mixed Use on the Comprehensive Plan.
An ordinance to amend and reordain Chapter 20, Taxation, of the Code of the County of James City, Virginia, by amending Article I, In General, by amending Section 20-7.4, Penalties and interest for late payment of taxes, to clarify when tax payments are determined to be late in order to incur penalties or interest.
All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing. The ordinance is on file in the County Attorney’s office and may be viewed during normal office hours at the County Government Center, 101-D Mounts Bay Road, James City County, Virginia.
