Thinking Rural – Discussion Sessions
James City County and the Virginia Cooperative Extension invite you to help define what “rural” means to the County; identify community preferences for rural lands uses; and give feedback on County rural lands policies, programs and procedures. Come to one of the Thinking Rural – Discussion Sessions to provide input.

If you missed the Understanding Rural – Expert Panel, you can view a recording on the County’s YouTube channel – youtube.com/jamescitycounty – or on a DVD that can be checked out from the James City County Library or Williamsburg Library. Watch on your own or host your HOA, club or organization for a video viewing and discussion party. Resource packets and discussion questions are available online at jamescitycountyva.gov/planning/rural.
Finally, keep submitting those photos of what “rural” means to you. The deadline is July 12, 2013 and everyone who submits a photo will be entered into a random drawing for a donated local business gift basket. The photos will be used at Thinking Rural to help define what “rural” means to James City County.
