Organizations invited to contribute to the 2035 Comprehensive Plan

Organizations with thoughts or ideas related to issues and topics contained in the Comprehensive Plan are invited to participate in a Community Participation Team (CPT) Forum. The CPT, which is tasked with collecting public input for the James City County Comprehensive Plan update, has opened this opportunity to encourage more organizations to have their voices heard. Topics can range from housing and economic development to growth and community character. Check out the 2009 Comprehensive Plan at for more ideas about what topics are covered in a comprehensive plan.

CPT Forums will begin at 5 p.m. on the following Thursdays:

May 8 - Building F, County Government Center, 101 Mounts Bay Rd.
May 22 - Kitzinger Community Room, James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Rd.

Each organization will be allowed up to 15 minutes to present its information to the CPT. The forums will also be open to the public, videotaped and posted to view online after the forums. Time openings are limited and will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis. Reservation forms may be filled out and submitted at As a result of the CPT Forums, the normal CPT meetings scheduled for these days will begin at 4 p.m. but will be held in the same location as the forum.
