robber of JCC 7-11Ronnie Samuel Cook

On Wednesday, Jan. 22, James City County Police charged Ronnie Samuel Cook, 44 of Richmond with robbery of the 7-Eleven Norge. It is alleged that on Jan. 4, Cook entered the 7-Eleven located at 7211 Richmond Rd., approached the clerk and asked to purchase a lottery ticket. He then threatened the clerk and ordered her to give him lottery tickets, money from the cash register and several packs of cigarettes. He then instructed her to walk to the bathroom. As she walked toward the bathroom, Cook left on foot with lottery tickets, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash. He walked behind the store toward the Kristiansand Office Park where he got into a white vehicle and drove off in an unknown direction. No weapon was displayed and the clerk was not injured.

Cook is currently being held in the Richmond City Jail without bond for murder. He is accused of stabbing his 78-year-old mother to death on the morning of Jan. 4 in Richmond prior to coming to James City County. He was arrested on Jan. 5 for the murder and is also suspected of robbing a Henrico County Shell Station that same day.
