Sears Hometown Store celebrates ribbon cutting and grand opening
James City County is pleased to announce that Sears Hometown Store celebrated its ribbon cutting on Friday, Feb. 28. Located at 6623 Richmond Rd. in James City County, Sears Hometown Store is open daily Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sears Hometown Stores carry all of the top home appliance brands, as well as tools, lawn and garden equipment and more. The Sears Hometown Store is locally-owned by John Jakob.
Michael Hipple, Vice Chair of the Board of Supervisors, said, “I am pleased to see the Sears Hometown Store join our community and look forward to many good years of service for our citizens.”
Sears Hometown Stores were developed nearly 20 years ago to serve customers in locations outside of or on the furthest outskirts of major metropolitan areas. Currently, there are more than 900 Hometown Stores throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam.
