Sylvan Learning of Williamsburg celebrates ribbon cutting and grand opening


James City County is pleased to announce that Sylvan Learning of Williamsburg (Sylvan Williamsburg) celebrated its ribbon cutting and official grand opening on Friday, May 23. Located at 3709-A Strawberry Plains Rd., Sylvan Williamsburg is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.


Sylvan Williamsburg is owned and operated by Deborah DeJesus. DeJesus has been a part of the Sylvan family for over 10 years serving in the role of director and also is a parent of Sylvan students. Her husband, Juan, is also a part owner of Sylvan Williamsburg. Sylvan Williamsburg employs nine certified teachers, who all have a passion for tutoring and teaching. 


Sylvan Williamsburg offers tutoring customized for children and adolescents based on their learning needs. Sylvan Williamsburg offers their services in a variety of subjects including math, reading and writing at all grade levels. Sylvan Learning also offers study skills, college preparation, test preparation and homework assistance to build the proper skills, habits and attitudes to help students work independently.
