new2you Thrift Store celebrates ribbon cutting and grand opening

new2you Thrift Store

From L to R: Volunteers from new2you celebrate the ribbon cutting of their new store with Board of Supervisors Chair, Mary Jones, as well as Kevin Onizuk, Jamestown Supervisor and Assistant County Administrator Adam Kinsman.

James City County is pleased to announce that new2you Thrift Store celebrated its ribbon cutting on May 3. Located at 4500 John Tyler Hwy. at Five Forks Shopping Center, new2you is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Proceeds from the store support the Williamsburg Christian Academy (WCA).

new2you uses volunteers for its entire operation including the store manager, Judy Boger, who is a WCA Parent. Volunteer help is needed with sorting, working with customers, picking up donations and distributing store information.

new2you accepts furniture, household goods, décor, books, games and gently used clothing. Donations may be dropped off at the store, but arrangements can be made for home pick-up by contacting or calling 757-221-6633.
