The Division has been working with citizen monitors to sample streams in the County. There are two programs volunteers are involved with – bacteria testing, and stream insect collection and identification. County staff recruit, train, equip and certify County residents to monitor the streams in order to determine the overall health of the waterways. Interested? Call 757-259-1446 or Email.
