Listening Forums

On May 4, 2020, the Engage 2045 Community Participation Team (CPT) invited local community organizations to participate in a Listening Forum to provide input for the County’s Comprehensive Plan update. The CPT Listening Forum was open to the public electronically pursuant to the Emergency Ordinance adopted March 24, 2020 by the Board of Supervisors. To view a recording of the meeting, please visit the County YouTube channel.

During the Listening Forum, organizations presented their mission, goals and challenges in relation to the future of James City County. The CPT  asked each organization to describe the greatest need or desired outcome that should be addressed in the Comprehensive Plan update. Each participating group had up to 15 minutes to present information to the CPT.
