Individuals, organizations and businesses may adopt a designated area within the county for a period lasting at least one year. Throughout that time, group members come together to keep their spot clean, litter free and beautiful.
As a region-wide public service initiative, askHRgreen.org educates, engages and motivates citizens to make good environmental choices here in Hampton Roads. We are a force and a resource, working to help you improve and protect our waterways, infrastructure and recycling activities through information and inspiration.
Local volunteers have removed over 7 million pounds of trash from County roadsides and illegal dump sites during the annual Spring Cleanup over the last 4 decades. Each year volunteers give their time and energy to collect trash in areas where it would have otherwise polluted the environment.
Team Up 2 Clean Up operates on the belief that it is everyone’s collective responsibility to contribute to litter prevention and offers many tips, tools and resources to make educating and organizing events easier.
