Health, Dental and Vision Insurance - Rates & Summaries
The County is fully committed to providing eligible employees with high quality health care.
Eligible employees have the option of enrolling in the Optima Point of Service (POS), a Traditional Plan, or the Optima Equity (POS), a Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP). In addition, there are three dental plan options through Delta Dental to choose from, as well as, EyeMed Vision Insurance through the Standard Insurance Company.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) (PDF) allows eligible employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for medical and prescription expenses. The County contribution towards the employee HSA account is determined each budget year. Fund balances roll over each year and may be saved for retirement. Must be enrolled in the Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) to be eligible.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to pay certain healthcare expenses with tax free money. Healthcare FSA and Limited Purpose FSA, allow a $610 rollover each plan year. Dependent Care FSA allows you to pay for day care expenses with tax free money, with no plan year rollover.
Employees who participate in the County Health, Dental and/or Vision Insurance, pay their portion of the premiums with pre-taxed dollars.
