You’re invited to join James City County Police Department Police at the Williamsburg Marketplace Starbucks at 240 McLaws Circle on March 30, 1-3 p.m. County Officers will join citizens in an informal setting to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee. All community members are invited to stop by and enjoy a free cup of regular brewed coffee and light refreshments while chatting with local officers.
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Department’s work in the County. It breaks down barriers and allows for relaxed, one-on-one interactions. Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the Country as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
If you are interested in hosting a Coffee With a Cop in your neighborhood or at your business, please contact Sgt. John LeClaire at 757-259-5174.
