Mark your calendars for the Williamsburg Taste Festival, which will be held April 19-22, 2018. There are events throughout the Greater Williamsburg area.

Schedule of Events in James City County

Thursday, April 19

  • Out and About at Café Provencal at 7 p.m.There will be a French wine dinner at Café Provencal at the Williamsburg Winery. Cost is $128.30. Wine pairings are included in the cost
    • Amuse-bouche: Consomme Madrilene
    • First course: Diver scallops with Autumn Olive pork belly and a fennel and apple puree with lemongrass sabayon
    • Second course: Seared foie gras with fig and cherry moustarde, toasted brioche and a Petite Verdot reduction
    • Third course: Grilled endive salad with Old Church Creamy yoghurt chèvre and fermented berries
    • Fourth course: Seared Border Spring Farm rack of lamb served with lentil cassoulet, garden peas, mint puree and date au jus
    • Fifth Course: French cheeses with homemade crusty loaf
    • Desserts: Caramelized pear tart with local honey and homemade gelato with an almond tuile
  • Out and About at La Tienda, 7 p.m. Discover the flavors of Barcelona, Madrid and Seville at the La Tienda Tapas Bar. Feast on authentic dishes from Spain, each paired with an amazing Spanish wine. Chef Ika Zaken is constantly innovating using fresh local ingredients and delicacies from Spain and is excited to offer a very special menu for you to enjoy. Cost is $95.18.

Saturday, April 21

  • Out and About at the Williamsburg Winery at 7 p.m. Join The Williamsburg Winery for a Masters of Sommeliers Dinner. Cost is $169.70.
    • White wine poached Prince Edwards Mussels  with Edwards Ham, roasted carrot romesco and house sprouts
    • Seared York River rockfish with spring garden vegetables, Surry sausage, tomato fume and homemade pumpernickel
    •  Braised Border Spring farm lamb ribs with petite greens, radish hash and a beet gastrique  
    • Grilled Hereford tenderloin with charred ramps, marbled potatoes and a nasturtium and salsify puree
    •  Chocolate pate with a toasted almond mousse
    • Champagne strawberry sorbet
  • Out and About at Billsburg Brewery at 7 p.m. The Billsburg Brewery Food Truck Rodeo will feature three local favorite food trucks, Two Drummers Offbeat Eats, Black Pearl and Karnage Asada. The wide variety of food available can be paired nicely with any of the Billsburg beers available exclusively on tap. Cost is $21.69. The ticket price will get you one food offering from any of the three trucks and one beer and/or soda, water, etc. from Billsburg Brewery. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for a $10 surcharge.
