Sometime during the overnight hours of Feb. 4-5, a suspect tampered with several vehicles and stole several items from unlocked vehicles in Michelle’s Point, Rolling Woods and White Hall. A home surveillance video camera captured footage and was released to the public.
With the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, Jose Alexander Paredes-Rodriguez has been charged with 6 counts of petit larceny, 3 counts of grand larceny, 2 counts of credit card theft and driving without an operator’s license. Paredes-Rodriguez, a 32 year old West Point resident, was arrested on March 9.
Residents are reminded to protect their property by removing valuables from vehicles and always locking doors, keeping windows and doors locked at night and when not at home and keeping extra keys and garage door remotes in a secure location.
