You’re invited to join James City County police at Jimmy’s Oven and Grill at 7201 Richmond Road on June 22, 8-10 a.m. County Officers will join citizens in an informal setting to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee. All community members are invited to stop by and enjoy a free cup of coffee and light refreshments while chatting with local officers.
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Department’s work in the County. A national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for relaxed, one-on-one interactions. Similar events are being held across the country as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
If you are interested in hosting a Coffee with a Cop in your neighborhood or at your business, please contact Sgt. John LeClaire at 757-259-5174.
