James City County Social Services is looking for citizens interested in serving on the Social Services Advisory Board. Advisory Board members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a four-year term. The Board serves in an advisory capacity in all matters pertaining to the social well-being of vulnerable County citizens; monitors program delivery, participates in community outreach opportunities and serve as community advocates by informing the community about the resources Social Services provides. Meetings are held six times a year in February, April, June, August, October and December.
