[ARCHIVED] Arrest made in shooting death

On Mar. 5, James City County Police arrested Wilbert McKenley Walker, 22 of Charles City County for 2nd degree murder in relation to the shooting death of Tyler Anthony Cole, 26 of JCC.

At 8:05 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2014, JCCPD responded to the area of Ironbound Square Park in the 300 block of Carriage Road in reference to a report of gunshots fired. Officers arrived on scene and found the driver of the vehicle, Cole suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital. Through the investigation, police were able to determine that Walker drove two suspects to the scene believed to be the shooters. The investigation is on-going. Walker is being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond.
