[ARCHIVED] Aug. 31 is 80s Night at Jamestown Jams Featuring The Deloreans

Put on your best 80s outfit and come to enjoy free live music on Friday, Aug. 31 with The Deloreans as they perform for 80s Night during the final 2018 Jamestown Jams at Jamestown Beach Event Park.

The Deloreans is a seasoned showband comprised of six distinct vocalists that cover the most memorable artists and nostalgic songs of the 80s. Each band member is featured throughout the show, making this band’s most notable attribute its unmatched variety. Collectively, they have performed in over six countries, for several heads of state, and for three sitting U.S. Presidents. The Deloreans will perform from 7-8:30 p.m.

The entrance will open for the concert at 5:30 p.m. The concert will take place on a grassy field within Jamestown Beach Event Park. Admission to Jamestown Jams is free. Parking will be behind the old Jamestown Campground building at 2205 Jamestown Road adjacent to Jamestown Settlement.

The County is pleased to partner with The Arc of Williamsburg for this year’s concerts. The Arc will be selling assorted beer and all proceeds will benefit their local activities and programs. The Arc of Greater Williamsburg has proudly served adults with developmental disabilities in our community since 1976. Now in their 42nd year, they serve young adults as they age out of special education at age 22 through their senior years. They provide 8-10 monthly, evening activities, as well as a Day Support Program. Programs and activities also provide respite time for caregivers.

Food from Two Drummers Offbeat Eats, Prost Food Truck and FoodATude..Food with Attitude will be available for purchase as well as icy treats from Sno-To-Go. Additionally, the Williamsburg Winery will be on hand serving their fine wines.

Snacks, picnics and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. All items are subject to inspection prior to entrance. No alcohol or large, plastic coolers are permitted. Pets are not permitted at Jamestown Jams for the safety of all attendees. Only service animals will be permitted entrance to Jamestown Jams. Chairs and blankets are permitted.

Jamestown Beach will remain open to patrons during each concert and will follow its regular operating schedule.
