The Economic Development Authority (EDA) has canceled their Sept. 13 meeting. The next meeting will be a joint work session with the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 4-7 p.m.

The Economic Development Authority meets monthly and the calendar is available online.

The EDA is a seven-member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority’s function is to pursue and comply with the goals and objectives set forth in the Comprehensive Plan; to advise the Board of Supervisors through the County Administrator of any application made by an agent or representative of a prospective facility requesting the Authority to issue bonds; and to advise the governing body of James City County of the potential location of the facility.
