James City County is pleased to announce that PHILIP D studio held a ribbon cutting and grand opening for its new commercial photography studio at 144 Tewning Road, Suite F. The new location is 3,600 square feet with a 20’ ceiling and two large roll up doors, which will allow the studio to shoot larger subjects such as cars and motorcycles. Previously, PHILIP D studio was located in New Town Williamsburg. The new location provides more than four times the shooting space of previous location.

PHILIP D studio is owned by Philip Sydow, an avid photographer since childhood. Sydow has been a commercial photographer since 2011 following careers in engineering, software and education. Sydow opened his previous location of PHILIP D studio in 2013.

The studio’s unique brand of imagery often incorporates photography, digital painting and CGI to fulfill the needs of its diverse clients.

“We are thrilled with the flexibility our new space provides us to meet the needs of our clients and shoot larger scenes and subjects in studio,” said Sydow. “We look forward to expanding our business with these new capabilities.”

PHILIP D studio will be holding an open house on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 5-7 p.m. Please RSVP online.
