[ARCHIVED] Nonresident Parking Fees Return to Jamestown Beach Event Park

Beach Decal News Flash

Parking fees for nonresidents are charged at Jamestown Beach Event Park, 2205 Jamestown Road annually from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. The parking fee is charged Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the park entrance.

For nonresidents, the Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day fees are:
 - Monday – Friday: passenger vehicles (up to eight passengers) $4/day; high occupancy vehicles (9-15 passengers) $10/day and buses (16 or more passengers) $15/day.
 - Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: passenger vehicles (up to eight passengers) $7/day; high occupancy vehicles (9-15 passengers) $10/day and buses (16 or more passengers) $15/day.

There is no parking fee for James City County and Williamsburg residents (who physically reside in the County or City) and provide onsite proof of residency. Though there is no parking fee for residents, residents are encouraged to pick up a free parking decal to avoid delay or charge at the park entrance. Without a free parking decal, residents must prove residency at each visit. Parking decals previously issued are still valid; however, there is a $5 replacement fee.

Residents can pick up a free parking decal with qualifying identification such as a valid driver’s license or a valid Virginia identification card that shows current address. If the driver’s license or identification card does not show current address, one of the following may be provided along with an ID – a lease agreement, utility bill or a voter registration card. Free decals can be picked up at any of the distribution locations during office operating hours: Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, 8901 Pocahontas Trail; Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway; Freedom Park, 5537 Centerville Road; Jamestown Beach Event Park (Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day), 2205 Jamestown Road; James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road; James City County Marina, 2054 Jamestown Road; and Little Creek Reservoir Park,180 Lakeview Road.

Separate parking fees may apply to residents and nonresidents alike during special events.

For more information on parking, see Jamestown Beach Event Park Fees or call 757-259-5360. For a complete list of programs, events and activities, please visit Parks & Recreation or call 757-259-4200.
