Police Seek Suspect in Motor Vehicle Theft

Attempt to ID - Motor Vehicle Theft

On Sept. 9 sometime between 3:45 and 5:20 p.m., complainant reports that while at the James City County Recreation Center at 5301 Longhill Road, an unknown person(s) removed the key to his vehicle from his backpack located in the gym and stole his car from the parking lot. The vehicle is described as a 2006 green Toyota Rav 4. Surveillance video captured the pictured individual tampering with the victim’s backpack.

Callers to the Crime Line may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
