[ARCHIVED] Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Willimasburg

Howl-O-Scream (HOS) at Busch Gardens Williamsburg opens on Saturday, Sept. 14 and is open on select days through Sunday, Oct. 27. Fear awaits in World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park’s collection of elaborate haunted houses, immersive themed scare zones, challenging escape rooms and darkly entertaining live shows. This is the 21st annual HOS event and each day the park is open, HOS begins at 5:45 p.m.

This year, HOS features six unique haunted house experiences including Circo Sinistro, Demented Dimensions, Dystopia, Frostbite, Lumberhack and Vault Overtaken. Each haunted house experience has different themes. In addition to the six haunted house experiences, there are six scare zones. Due to frightening elements, families with young children should use discretion when visiting during HOS.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg also has three Halloween-themed shows during HOS. New this year is the return of “Jack is Back” in the Ireland area of the park. This popular show is a street-style performance in the Ireland village starring Jack, an HOS icon, who made his return last year. Pumpkins, scarecrows and Jack himself entertain park guests in this disco dancing celebration.

HOS also features two new escape rooms allowing guests to participate in a physical adventure game, where they are locked in a room and must use clues to solve puzzles before time runs out. If you have never done an escape room, this is a must try! Escape rooms due cost an additional fee and reservations are recommended.
