James City County is offering a free class on how to be a successful renter on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Human Services Center, 5249 Olde Towne Road. The class covers every part of renting from figuring out what you can afford, to understanding a lease, to working with your landlord. Whether you are searching for your first place to live or are a lifelong renter, we can help you understand the process better.
