James City County’s annual Destination Recreation Expo is Saturday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m.-noon at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road. Get your advance copy of the Parks and Recreation Spring/Summer 2016 Brochure and register early for summer camp! Meet County Recreation staff and your local sports, programming and recreation partners. Informational booths, interactive demonstrations and hands on activities are just a few great features of this event. Expo activities include “cook your own S’mores,” make your own bird feeder, terrarium craft projects and more! All ages welcome! We’ll keep your children entertained while you learn about various classes and programs offered throughout the year and gather information about summer camp opportunities, sports, outdoor, aquatic programs, special events, parks and facilities, REC Connect, inclusion/therapeutic programs and activities offered through our affiliate organizations.
