[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Suspect in Fraud Incidents

Attempt to ID Fraud Suspect

On Feb. 24, an unknown female used a James City County resident’s personal information to open a credit account with Best Buy. She then purchased approximately $4,000 in merchandise from the Best Buy in York County and one in the Richmond area. The same female then went to two Verizon locations in James City County and in Hanover and purchased an iPhone and air pods using the victim’s Verizon account.

Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
