COVID-19 Updates and Reminders Memorial Day ClosingsMost County services will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Public safety services and County parks will remain open, however, not all park amenities may be available. As a reminder, in accordance with Governor Northam’s Executive Order Fifty-Five, most beaches in Virginia remain closed to all activities except fishing and exercise. At Jamestown Beach Event Park, visitors can exercise on the beach, fish in the fishing area and launch paddle craft in the designated launch area. However, sunbathing, sitting and standing on the beachfront are NOT permitted. Wading, playing and floating in the water are also not permitted.Please practice social distancing and avoid gathering in groups of more than ten.
