Two Members of Fire Department Honored For Outstanding Work in Prehospital Care

Two Firefighters Holding Awards

Two members of the James City County Fire Department were recently honored by the regional Peninsulas EMS Council for their outstanding work in prehospital care.

Dr. Amir Louka (pictured left), serves as the Operational Medical Director for James City County Fire Department and Emergency Room Physician for Virginia Commonwealth University. Through his sound leadership, progressive stance on medicine and training, and passion for delivery of prehospital medicine, Dr. Amir Louka was presented with the 2020 Outstanding Contribution to EMS by a Physician (Gaylord W. Ray, M.D. Award).

Lieutenant Christopher Judkins (pictured right), serves as a Field EMS Supervisor for James City County Fire Department, and ensures the highest quality of prehospital patient care is delivered to the citizens and visitors of James City County. Lieutenant Christopher Judkins was awarded as the 2020 Outstanding Prehospital Provider (Joseph B. Howard Award).
