Lieutenant Promotion

Keith Campbell

Sergeant Keith Campbell with James City County Police Department has been promoted to Lieutenant.

Sgt. Campbell was hired by JCCPD in July 2001. Sgt. Campbell was previously employed with the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy sheriff. Campbell has served JCCPD as a patrol officer in the Uniform Division and as part of the Traffic Unit. Over the past 19 years of his service, Campbell has received several awards and decorations, to include the Meritorious Service Award and Officer of the Year. He is currently assigned as the Sergeant of the Criminal Investigations Unit. In addition, he serves as the commander of the Department’s SWAT Team and Marine Patrol Unit. He most recently attended Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police & Foundation’s Professional Executive Leadership School at the University of Richmond. Campbell attended Ferrum College and Christopher Newport University.

Sgt. Campbell will step in to his new role as Lieutenant beginning Oct. 1.
