[ARCHIVED] Mark Your Calendars for the 7th Annual JCC Litter and Recycling Expo

The James City Clean County Commission is hosting the 7th annual Litter and Recycling Expo on Oct. 10 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., located in the Warhill High School student parking lot, 4615 Opportunity Way.. Onsite will be Gone4Good Shred for document shredding and Habitat for Humanity ReStore to collect usable building materials, gently used furniture, working appliances, tools, lighting, and other household goods. There will also be stations for plastic bag and tire collection. The James City Ruritan Club, askHRgreen trailer, and Keep James City County Beautiful also be onsite with information about several opportunities for volunteer participation in the areas of litter prevention, parks and schools recycling, and community beautification.

The VPPSA Household Chemical Collection and Electronics Recycling event will also be taking place in the front parking lot of Warhill High School from 8 a.m.-noon. They will be accepting a variety of electronics, solvents, paints, pesticides, automotive products, and more. For a full list of accepted materials, please visit www.VPPSA.org.
