[ARCHIVED] Police Announce Lieutenant Promotion

Sgt. Monique Myers

Sergeant Monique Myers with James City County Police Department has been promoted to Lieutenant.

Sgt. Myers was hired by JCCPD in July 2006. Sgt. Myers was previously employed as a police officer with Portsmouth Police Department. Sgt. Myers has served JCCPD as a patrol officer in the Uniform Division and as part of the Community Services Unit. Over the past 14 years of her service, Sgt. Myers has received several awards and decorations, to include the Supervisory Service Award. She is currently assigned as the Sergeant of the Community Services Unit. In addition, she is a Crime Prevention Specialist and an Advanced Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Instructor. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree from Troy University.

Sgt. Myers will step in to her new role as Lieutenant beginning Jan. 4.
