On June 19 at approximately 7:30 a.m., James City County Police Department and Fire Department responded to the 1800 block of Ferrell Drive. Personnel arrived and located a 29-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was pronounced diseased at the scene.
The investigation would reveal 30-year-old Travis Lamar Bradsher as the suspect. Warrants have been obtained for Bradsher for Felony Murder, Breaking & Entering with the Intent to Commit a Felony-Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Bradsher's last known address is on South Drive in Newport News, VA.
The decedent was transported to the Tidewater Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
This case remains under investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
