Posted on: February 18, 2022[ARCHIVED] Potential Road Delays Expected During 16th Annual William & Mary Tidewater Winter Classic
The 16th Annual William & Mary Tidewater Winter Classic will cause temporary delays to portions of James City County roads on Saturday, Feb. 19. Numerous cyclists will be participating in this USA Cycling sanctioned event.
From 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, motorists may encounter delays due to this event in the area of York River State Park and on the following roadways:
· Riverview Road
· Newman Road
· Fenton Mill Road
· Croaker Road
Police will be directing traffic during the race to aid in preventing delays. Bicyclists will be traveling on the roadways throughout the day even when traffic is moving steadily, so motorists should use caution.
