In this two-day workshop, we’ll focus on adding decoration through carving & mark-making on greenware. Students will be provided a few extra carving tools and one leather hard cylinder to follow along with the Saturday demonstration. Adult Learn to Row • Ages 18+ Saturdays & Sundays, Aug.13-28, 8:45-10:30 a.m. Chickahominy Riverfront Park Rowers can learn the basics of the boat, rowing technique and navigation leading to a capability of rowing in an adult practice by the program's end. This is great preparation if rowers are interested in continuing with the sport. Rowers should be able to swim. Full Moon Hike • All Ages FREE!Friday, Aug. 12, 8:03 p.m. (sunset)Freedom ParkEver wondered what animals are lurking once the sun goes down? Come explore the PARK AFTER DARK during the full moon nights of summer! In this self-guided hike, the Park will be open late, past sunset, on select nights. After sunset, visitors may only use Multiuse Trail 3; the full moon hikes are a walking loop that start and end here. Users must depart the park by the closing time 9 p.m. and must stay on Trail 3 after sunset.
