[ARCHIVED] James City County Marina Boat Ramp to Temporarily Close for Repairs

Marina Flash_March 2023

The boat ramp at the James City County Marina will be closed for repairs March 27-April 20. The work will consist of removing the existing boat ramp surface and replacing it with 8-inches of new reinforced concrete to enhance the safety of boaters and their property.

During the closure, boaters with an annual boat ramp pass to the Marina can also use the pass at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway at no additional cost. All other Marina amenities remain open during the ramp closure – the paddle craft launch area is open; bike, canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddle board rentals are available 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. daily; and Marina Store operating hours remain 8 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. Bagged ice, bait, tackle and other fishing supplies, marine batteries, ice cream, cold drinks, candy and snacks, and many other products are available for purchase in the Marina Store.
