James City County voters will not have a primary election in June 2023 since only one candidate filed for each party for each elected office.
The next opportunity for County voters to vote is for the General Election on Nov. 7, 2023.
- The first day of in-person early voting at the James City County Office of Elections Vote Center is Sept. 22, 2023. The Vote Center is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. from Sept. 22, 2023-Nov. 3. The Vote Center is open for two Saturdays for early voting: Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 and Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. The last day of in-person early voting is Nov. 4, 2023 at 5 p.m.
- The deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration is Oct. 16, 2023. Voters may register after this date, through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot.
- The deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you is Oct. 27, 2023. Your request must be received by the James City County Office of Elections by 5 p.m.
As a reminder, the Office of Elections has moved to 4095 Ironbound Road in Courthouse Green behind the Courthouse.
