Wanted Suspect Arrested, Large Quantity of Narcotics Seized

JCCPD an arrest has been made

On Sep. 14, 2023, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a coordinated operation led by James City County Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force Agents resulted in the apprehension of a wanted suspect on drug-related charges originating from the City of Williamsburg. The arrest was conducted at the Wawa located in Lightfoot.

During this arrest, Task Force Agents searched the suspect’s vehicle and seized approximately 30 grams of heroin, 15 grams of crack cocaine, and approximately 132 grams of powder cocaine. The street value of these narcotics is estimated to exceed $15,000. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Miguel Holmes of Hampton, faces three charges out of James City County related to the Manufacture, Sale, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The concerted efforts of Task Force Agents and the James City County Police Department are dedicated to enhancing community safety and hindering criminal drug activities. The Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force comprises investigators from the Virginia State Police, York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office, Mathews County Sheriff’s Office, City of Poquoson Police Department, James City County Police Department, and the City of Williamsburg Police Department.
